Believe Conflict Management Tool
YouTube ownership conflicts tool is located on Backstage and it helps you and Believe manage your ownership of your tracks in order to optimize and maximize your revenue from these assets.
What is an ownership conflict on YouTube?
The YouTube ecosystem is open for multiple different users that are all uploading their content to the platform to protect their rights. As Believe clients, you have the ability to deliver your tracks to YouTube to search for copies of your content. On some occasions, one or more different content owners have already delivered or will deliver in the future, ownership over the same track. That creates an ownership conflict.
When that happens, the revenue generated on this content is held in escrow by YouTube until the conflict is resolved. The winner of the conflict will then receive that revenue.
Why an ownership Conflict Management tool ?
This solution makes the verification of the rights quick and easy and it helps us reactivate monetization of your content faster.
During the time that the asset is in conflict, there are no guarantees that the revenue generated can be the same as when the asset has no conflicts. Assets that have no conflicts are considered more brand safe. The quicker the conflicts can be resolved the more revenue we can generate for your account.
How does it work?
For each conflict on your content, follow the procedure below.
If you have the rights :
- Go in your Backstage
- Confirm the right property on the content
Once we have your confirmation, Believe contact the claimant and handles the situation for you.
If you don’t have the rights :
Ask to remove the Rights by checking the corresponding box. This solves the conflict in favor of the conflict owner.
